Urban Decay Naked Palette Review

naked palette 3

Today I am going to review my favourite Urban Decay Naked Palette – Naked Palette 3. This palette conquers me with its amazing variety of soft pink, violet and taupe shades. I have tried many of Urban Decay palettes but decided to start my reviews with number 3 as it is perfect for my complexion and green eyes. Thanks to a selection of colours, these eye shadows make my eye colour pop and create a very soft natural look. Urban Decay Naked Palette Review

Naked Palette 3 comes in a rose gold metal case of a very high quality. It is heavy and sturdy, very well made, keeps your eyeshadows save. There is a big mirror inside the palette, which makes it perfect for travelling or if you like to use a small mirror for your makeup. There is a two-sided synthetic eyeshadow brush in the palette which, to be honest, I don’t use. I always use the brushes that I buy separately for my makeup, for example, Smashbox Blending Brush or my favourite eyeshadow brushes from ZOEVA.

There are 12 shades in the palette in total: 4 matte and 8 shimmering. Each eyeshadow is 1.3g. They are (from left to right) Strange, Dust, Burnout, Limit, Buzz, Trick, Nooner, Liar, Factory, Mugshot, Darkside and Blackheart. I feel like it is a good mixture of matte and shimmering eyeshadows.

Strange is your perfect base shade for priming the eyelid, Limit is your perfect transition shade and Nonner allows you to make the eye makeup deeper and use it to create a more dramatic look. Darkside – dark brown matte shade in the palette definitely compliments the palette and allow us to create smokey eyes makeup with more dimension.

Shimmering eyeshadows are what I absolutely love and adore about this Urban Decay Naked Palette. Urban Decay really could not make it better – the selection is perfect. There are 2 cool shades – Dust and Buzz and the rest of them is warm. It is great that palette includes warm-toned and cool-toned eyeshadows, which makes it perfect for any complexion!

I tend to use shimmering shades on their own or in a smoky eye to cover my mobile eyelid area. Dust is light pink glitzy shade, Buzz is a beautiful mauve purple shade, Trick is the best gold eyeshadow you will see in your life, it reminds me of Goddess, liar is beautiful deep brown, Factory is a chocolate brown shade, Mugshot is a coll-toned light brown and Blackheart is a very dark brown with a hint of burgundy in it, but a tiny bit.

Overall, this palette is beautiful, high-quality and a very good value for money. The eyeshadows are pigmented, the transfer of the colour from the palette to the eyelid is great. Eyeshadows are easy to blend and build. I recommend!

The Naked 3 is my first ever makeup splurge! I loved the palette so much! But I had to toss it away a few months back because it was way over it’s shelf life!

Such a great review, girlie. I have the original Naked and love it and have been wanting to add the other two to my collection. This one is perhaps the prettiest of them all, the colors are so light and practical for everyday wear, yet they add a touch of sparkle! Thanks so much for sharing and I hope you have a great day!

I own this palette and every other Naked palette and I’m so obsessed! The pigments, the shimmer, the color choices.. If I had to pick only one line of eye shadow products to wear for the rest of my life it would be the Naked palettes for sure!
