Do’s and don’ts of the office makeup

Do’s and don'ts of the office makeup

Have you noticed how many women at the workplace tend to use too much makeup? Some even come to the office with no makeup. To look more professional it makes sense to learn the do’s and don’ts of the office makeup. Here is a look at what you should and should not do when applying makeup for the office.

Do’s and don'ts of the office makeup

Do’s of the office makeup

  • Apply the right moisturiser

The first thing that you need to do when applying makeup for the office is to use the right moisturiser to even your skin. Once the moisturiser has been applied then use a concealer in places where you need to either brighten or lighten your skin.

  • Use bronzer

Secondly, you need to use some bronzer as it gives your skin a nice tanned look. Using a bronzer helps to create a skin that has been tanned at the beaches. When applying the bronzer makes sure that you use a blush brush and also make sure that you don’t use a bronzer the has too much glitter.

  • Lip colours

Thirdly, when applying lip colours make sure that you use one that is trendy. Some colour will give your face a more polished look. At the same time, try not to use a heavy gloss and use a lip colour that has a natural finish.

Don’ts  of the office makeup

  • Avoid glittery makeup

There are a few things that you should not do when applying makeup for the office. First of all, never wear makeup that is very glittery and also avoids using glittery nail polish. Just a little makeup will go a long way in making you look more professional.

  • No eyeshadow

Secondly, do not use eyeshadow that is very bright as it will not make you look professional. The right option is to use an eyeshadow that has some bronze tone or beige or even chocolate tone to it.

  • Minimal mascara

Thirdly, when using mascara keep things as minimal as possible. If your eyelashes look clumpy you won’t look good and so makes sure that you stick with a mascara that is lightweight and apply it with the right brush.

What do I recommend? Use Self-Tanning Products.

It is also a good idea to think beyond using office-appropriate makeup. At the same time, you need to do something to make your skin look as healthy as possible. This can be achieved when you apply the right self-tanning products. For example, I really like using Vita Liberata Self Tanning Anti Age Serum. It’s easy to use by mixing with your moisturiser, organic and gives a very beautiful tan. Rather than overdoing the bronzer application, it makes sense to make your skin look as healthy as possible with just a little bit of an effort.

Self-tanning anti-ageing serums are the option that you should explore because it makes your skin look naturally tanned and it, at the same time, also reduces fine lines as well as wrinkles. All that you need to do is apply it directly to the skin or mixing it with your favourite moisturiser AM or PM. If you want a slow and gradually developing tan then mix a few drops of the serum with your moisturiser and apply the mixture to your face. The nice thing about using Vita Liberata is that it is an organic product that works well with every kind of skin type. And it also gives you the option of tanning your skin to any level.

I could not agree more, very well laid out. And yes, that clumpy looking mascara is a no-no and a glittery eye-makeup may look flattering but inappropriate. 🙂

You have some great office makeup tips here babe! I couldn’t agree more, wearing glittery makeup is a no-no at the office. When it comes to my makeup, I use earth/neutral tones for eyeshadow and a peachy tone for blush. As for my lips, as much as I love a red lip, I’d go for a nude shade.

That self tanning serum sounds amazing btw, would love to try it myself! Thanks for sharing 🙂
