6 Summer Travel Beauty Essentials

6 Summer Travel Beauty Essentials

When travelling, it’s important to take with you certain key products in order to guarantee both your beauty and well-being during your trip. Taking the right items with you is even more important during the summer months, and with that in mind I have put together this quick guide for summer travel beauty essentials. In this article, I will go over some of the more important products to bring with you when you travel during the summer.

6 Summer Travel Beauty Essentials

Murad Essential-C Environmental Shield Advanced Active Radiance Serum and Day Moisture Broad Spectrum SPF 30

1. Protective Serum and Moisturiser with SPF

This item is perhaps one of the most important products on today’s list of summer travel beauty essentials. We all know how important a good moisturiser is for keeping your skin healthy, hydrated, and beautiful. And moisturising properly becomes even more important during the summer when it’s all too easy for your skin to become dried out. Furthermore, it’s critical to use a high-quality moisturiser that has a high enough SPF to protect your skin from the sun’s harmful UV rays. Moreover, I recommend using the protective serum as well, especially if you are travelling to a big city.

I am currently using Murad Essential-C Environmental Shield Advanced Active Radiance Serum and Day Moisture Broad Spectrum SPF 30. Skincare from this range brightens dullness and reduces pigmentation for an even more radiant skin.

Murad Advanced Active Radiance Serum

This serum recharges your skin’s natural radiance and also clarifies. This Active Radiance Serum by Murad features Resilient-C™ – a remarkable new Vitamin C technology that delivers 50x the collagen-building, skin-brightening and cell-protecting power of ordinary topical Vitamin C to your skin. Renew resilience and radiance to restore the fresh youthful look UV exposure has stolen.

How To Use Murad Advanced Active Radiance Serum

  • Every day after cleansing and toning, massage a thin layer over face, neck and chest. For optimal results, wait one minute for maximum absorption then follow with recommended Murad moisturiser and sunblock.

This moisturiser improves your skin’s defence barrier and maintains optimal hydration. This powerful antioxidant-rich sunscreen shields and restores environmentally stressed skin.

The increased vitamin C and SPF in Murad Environmental Shield Essential C Day Moisture SPF 30 provide powerful protection against harmful UVA/UVB rays and free radical damage. This protective lotion features the patented Skin Repair System which improves radiance, firmness and elasticity, leaving your skin looking wonderful whilst keeping it fully protected.

  • Use daily after cleansing and toning.
  • Massage evenly over face, neck and chest.

MasqueBar Hydrogel Eye Mask [Charcoal Hydro Eye]

2. Eye Patches & Eye Masks

Another key travel item during the summer is a good quality eye mask or even eye patches. These can help with puffiness, the dehydrated skin under your eyes, shadows or bags under your eyes, and more. Ultimately, eye patches and eye masks can help to rejuvenate your eyes and the area around them to leave you looking brighter and more refreshed. These are my favourite eye patches at the moment.

MasqueBar Hydrogel Eye Mask [Charcoal Hydro Eye]

This Charcoal Hydrogel eye mask contains charcoal powder and coconut extracts that are effective in moisturising and soothing the delicate skin around the eyes.  Soothe under eyes with these relaxing eye mask pads from masqueBAR. Hydrating + nonirritating for relaxed and rejuvenated skin.

How to use MasqueBar Hydrogel Eye Mask

For the best results, thoroughly wash and dry face prior to application.

  • Remove mask patches carefully from the plastic liner.
  • Apply patches under eye area.
  • Relax for 20 minutes.
  • Gently peel outside edge of the mask from face and slowly pull across until removed.
  • Rub remaining essence into skin.

I also love Murad Eye Lift Firming Treatment. The review of it is coming up soon!

Dr.Barbara Sturm Glow Drops Review

3. Illuminating Complexion Drops

I love using Dr.Barbara Sturm Glow Drops when travelling. In addition to owning her own clinic, Dr.Barbara Sturm also launched her namesake skincare line filled with rejuvenating, non-surgical treatments for her clients to use in the comfort of their own homes. These Glow Drops are formulated with potent, anti-ageing compounds to deeply hydrate and refine your pores. Mineral pigments are added to impart youthful radiance.

It transforms and revitalises dull skin and restores radiance in just a few drops. Enriched with an extract of Polygonum bistorta root to even out skin tone and wild rose extract to refine pores (alongside Barbara Sturm’s signature purslane and hyaluronic acid), this gives skin a fresh, natural glow. Alongside long-term benefits, light-reflecting pigments impart an instantly radiant result which is perfect for summer.

4. Bright lipstick

Summer is a season that’s fantastic for wearing fun and bright colours, in regards to both clothing and make-up. With that in mind, one more essential summer beauty item is a brightly coloured lipstick. Whether you prefer bright ruby red tones or something in a cheerful pink, a bright lipstick will help to brighten up your appearance and bring some fun and cheer to your summer look. If you’re interested in trying out a bright lipstick but aren’t sure which colour to choose, it’s hard to go wrong with shades of hot pink or bright red; both add cheerful colour to your face while also giving you a fun and striking appearance.

Pixi's Glow Mist Review

5. Face Mist

This is another important summer travel beauty essential. As mentioned previously, it’s very easy for your skin to become dehydrated during the summer months. The combination of the heat and sunlight can leave your skin dried out and flaky if you’re not careful, so it’s important to take steps to ensure that your skin remains hydrated. That’s where face mist comes in. A high-quality face mist (especially one with special ingredients like essential oils added in) can help to keep your skin hydrated and healthy even if you’re constantly on the go.

Pixi’s Glow Mist Review

Pixi’s Glow Mist is a spray-on, illuminating potion enriched with 13 natural oils, alongside soothing and hydrating propolis, aloe vera and fruit extracts. Instantly refreshing, this relieves redness and irritation while replenishing precious moisture post-cleansing, to leave your face feeling soft, smooth and hydrated.

How to Use Pixi by Petra Glow Mist

How to Use Pixi by Petra Glow Mist

  • Just spritz over clean skin before makeup – this acts as an ultra-lightweight, moisturising primer – or mist on top of makeup to revive your ‘midday face’ and create an undetectable protective veil against pollutants and the elements.
  • Shake before use to emulsify – this does contain oil but it won’t smother skin – then spray lightly whenever your skin needs a ‘tszuj’ or quick radiance boost.
  • You can also spritz into palms and glide through the ends of your hair to smooth frizz and help seal split ends.

6. Self-tanner

The final item on today’s list of summer travel beauty essential is some variety of self-tanner. One of the best parts of summer is having gorgeous sun-kissed skin, after all, and self-tanners can be a tremendous help in acquiring that golden glow. Additionally, self-tanning products come in many different types, ranging from lotions and oils to mists and sprays (there are even self-tanning towelettes if you’re so inclined!) so finding the right self-tanner for yourself shouldn’t be overly difficult.
